Coconut shell shisha charcoal is a quick-light-free briquette made by carbonizing coconut shells, milling the char, binding it with food-grade tapioca starch, and pressing it into a fixed shape. It burns hotter and longer than wood charcoal, leaves less ash, and adds no taste or odor to the tobacco — which is why it is the default fuel for hookah lounges and shisha retail worldwide.

Gatot Subroto Blk. 3B No.18, Ngaliyan, Semarang, Central Java, Indonesia, running 4 lines at 350 tonnes per month. We press what we sell; we do not resell another factory's output under our name.
Loading is surveyed by an independent marine surveyor, paid by us and included in the FOB price. If you would rather appoint your own surveyor or inspection agency, you can — we have no objection to a buyer's inspector on the loading bay.

All three grades are 100% natural coconut shell charcoal — no chemicals, no fillers — produced under ISO 9001:2015 and classified for sea transport as IMDG UN 1361. The grades are separated by one thing a buyer can measure — ash content — and by how hard the material was screened to reach it. The numeric specifications below are factory targets; a per-batch certificate of analysis (COA) ships with every order.

Ash content is the percentage of mineral residue left after the briquette has fully combusted, measured by mass. It is the single most visible quality marker to your end customer: lower ash means less white debris in the bowl, fewer interruptions to scrape and re-seat coals, and a cleaner-looking session. Our grades run from 2.5-2.8% on Premium down to 1.6-2.0% on Platinum. Below roughly 2%, the difference is obvious to an experienced lounge operator — which is why Platinum commands a premium shelf price.
Higher grades are screened harder — three to five screening passes instead of one. That removes more fines and loses more raw material, and returns a cleaner briquette. The difference between grades is a yield difference, not a different raw material. Specifications are not abstract. Lower ash content keeps the bowl clean and the airflow open, so the session draws the same on the last 20 minutes as the first. A longer burn time — 2+ hours on Premium, up to 2.5+ hours on Platinum — means fewer coal changes per session and less interruption for the customer. A stable peak temperature near 680 °C delivers consistent heat to the tobacco without scorching it, and because the briquette is pure carbonized coconut shell with no accelerant, it adds no chemical taste or smell — the flavor your customer pays for is the tobacco, not the coal.
Consistency is what protects your margin. A coal that burns the same in every box means fewer customer complaints, fewer returns, and a reputation your lounge or retail brand can charge for. Low ash and long burn let you position a premium SKU above the commodity wood-charcoal shelf. High-volume venues burn through coals fast, so the priority is cost-per-session and long burn. Order larger 26–28 mm cubes or flats in bulk master-box packing — the lowest cost per kilogram, minimal retail printing. Platinum or Super Premium grade keeps ash off the table during long sessions.
Retail sells on shelf appeal and brand. Choose smaller 25 mm cubes or hexagonals in printed inner boxes (250 g / 500 g / 1 kg / 2 kg / 3 kg / 5 kg), and consider OEM / white-label so the box carries your brand, not ours. A printed 1 kg box is the standard retail unit.
