PT Mulia Coconut Charcoal Indonesia, trading as Mulia Charcoal, is a coconut shell charcoal manufacturer working across two of our own sites: a carbonization plant in Bitung, North Sulawesi, at the shell source, and a 4,200 m² briquetting factory in Semarang, Central Java, at the port. We carbonize most of our own char at the source, and every briquette is milled, pressed, dried, weathered and packed on our own lines at Semarang.

We make one product — coconut shisha charcoal — and nothing else. That focus is why our cube, finger, hexagonal, dome, flat, and lotus briquettes burn to a consistent, low-ash spec batch after batch: the whole factory is tuned for hookah coals, not split across unrelated product lines.

We own both plants: the carbonization plant at Bitung, where the shell is, and the briquetting factory at Semarang, where the ship is — pressing, drying and a 14-day weathering window. Most of the char we press is carbonized at our own plant; we supplement from vetted suppliers to meet demand, and that char passes the same intake check before it enters a batch. How our coconut charcoal is made

Coconut shisha charcoal is made by carbonizing coconut shell, milling it to powder, binding it with tapioca starch, pressing it into shape, then drying and weathering the briquettes.

Raw materials & sourcing

Our single raw material is coconut shell — an upcycled byproduct — sourced from North Sulawesi, Maluku, NTT and carbonized mostly at our own plant in Bitung, supplemented from vetted suppliers to meet demand.

Customization & OEM

Beyond our six standard shapes — cube, finger, hexagonal, dome, flat, and lotus — we produce to your requirements: custom sizes and shapes, and — when you have a target spec — we develop a recipe toward it.

Isn't it safer to buy through a trading company?

Can you fill a 20ft container every month?
Easily. One 20ft container (about 18 tons) is roughly 5% of our monthly capacity, so a monthly container — or several — fits well within capacity. You won't be deprioritized.
Which countries do you export to?
We ship to 35 countries across the Americas, Europe, the Middle East, CIS, and Asia-Pacific. Our priority markets are the USA, UK, Saudi Arabia, Germany, and Russia/CIS.
Do you only make shisha charcoal?
Yes. Coconut shisha charcoal is our only product. That specialization is what keeps the burn and ash spec consistent from batch to batch.

Yes. We sign a non-disclosure agreement on your designs and brand before any artwork is shared, and we can keep your design exclusive to you.
